INTERVIEW TECHNIQUES
Questions from the panel. The real impact you make comes from how you handle the panel’s questions. Keep your answers short – 30 seconds is a good ball park figure and the more trouble you’re in, the shorter they should be. Pause to consider what you’ll say, look the questioner in the eye and give the answer up front (remember – you’re not a politician), expand briefly and then shut up. If they want more, they’ll ask. If you don’t know, it’s better to be honest than waffle yourself into a deeper hole.
